All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Chandler Eavenson http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00030.html#0007294 Deed Simeon Hall to Ira Christian, 13 Feb 1838 The following deed appears in Elbert Co., GA Deed Book Y, page 162: "Georgia, Elbert County) This indenture made this thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight between Simeon Hall of the one part and Ira Christian of the other part both of the state and county aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said Simeon Hall for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Ira Christian the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Ira Christian, his heirs and assigns and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey, all that tract or parcel of land in the town of Elberton in the state and county aforesaid containing two acres be the same more or less lying on the north side of the street leading from the public square towards Petersburg adjoining lands belonging to Abner Adams and others bound on the west by the cross street between said lot and the lot occupied by John A. H. Harper on the north by the Old Road on Abner Adams line on the east by lands belonging to said Ira Christian and on the south by the street running between the said lot of the lots belonging to William B. Nelms and Elizabeth Thompson to have and to hold the said land together with all and singular the rights members improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Ira Christian his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple against the claim or claims of the said Simeon Hall his heirs Executors, Administrators or assigns and against the claims of all other persons whatever, will warrant and defend forever the right and title of the before mentioned premises unto the said Ira Christian his heirs and assigns. In Witness Whereof the said Simeon Hall hath hereunto set his hand and seal this day and date above written. Simeon Hall (Seal) Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of Wm R.
