Indenture between William Johnson & David Sayer 05 Jan 1851 Elbert Co, GA Elbert Co Deeds Book AA Page 224 William Johnston To David W. Sayer State of Georgia; Elbert County This indenture made & entered into this twenty Fifth day of January one thousand Eight hundred and Fifty one, Between William Johnston of the one part and David W. Sayer of the other part both of the State & county aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said William Johnston for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to me in hand paid at & before the sealing & delivery of These present the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold unto the said David W. Sayer his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying or being in said County of Elbert on the waters of Cold Water creek containing one hundred sixty five acres be the same more or less, Bounded as follows. Beginning on a hickory on the Elberton & Ruckersville Road. Thence to a maple Corner at a branch on poor house land line, Thence with said line to a red oak corner on E. Normans line. Thence to a Post Oak on D Cleveland Line Thence to a Chestnut on said line. Thence to a Ash corner on the branch thence along said Clevelands line to Rock corner. Thence to the Beginning hickory corner making a strait line with B P. Dickersons line, To have & to hold the said bargained premises unto him the said David W. Sayer his heirs & Assigns with all & Singular the rights, members & appurtenances thereunto belonging & every part thereof in fee Simple. And the said William Johnston do for myself my heirs & assigns will warrant and defend the right & title of the said land & premises against the claim of myself my heirs & assigns & against the claim or claims of all other persons whatsoever unto the said David W.
