Moon and wife Mary Moon to Terry Davis This Indenture made the thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred & twenty five Between James B. Moon and his wife Mary Moon of the one part & Terry Davis of the other part both of the State of Georgia and County of Elbert. Witnesseth that the said James B and Mary Moon his wife for and in consideration of Six hundred Dollars to them in hand paid (the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged) hath this day bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain sell & deliver unto the sd Terry all that tract of parcel of land whereon the Sd James B & Mary Moon lives situate lying & being in the State and County aforesaid on the waters of Warhatchee creek containing two Hundred & nine acres be the same more of less beginning at a Post oak corner in the mouth of Burtons & to Moon's lane Running from thence South Westward to N. T. Goodes land from thence South Eastward to Elizabeth Bells land, thence Eastward to a Stake corner on Elizabeth Bells line thence North to a post oak corer thence west to a post oak corner thence Northward to the beginning & we the sd James B. Moon & Mary Moon his wife do warrant & forever defend the right & title of the above bargained premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the claim of ourselves as also against the claim or claims of all other persons whatever to him the sd Terry his heirs and assigns forever to have & to hold for his & their own proper use Benefit & behoof forever in fee Simple In Witness whereof we do hereunto set our hand and affix our seals the day & year first above written.
