Vaughan & Martin White, Deacons Georgia, Elbert County: This indenture made & entered into this fifteenth day of March one Thousand Eight hundred and fifty one Between Charles G. Moon of the one part and James W. Vaughan and Martin White Deacons of the Baptist Church at Rehoboth and their successors in office of the other part all of the State and county af. Witness that the said Charles G. Moon for and in consideration of the good will love and affection that he has for the prosperity of Sion (?) and the love for Rehoboth Church, I do give & grant & do by these presents give grant and bequeath unto the said James W. Vaughan Martin White Deacons as aforesaid all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and State aforesaid near the waters of Fork Creek adjoining lands of the Sd Charles G. on the east, south & west, & on the north side on the Goshen tract of land containing Three acres bound as follows (to wit) Beginning on a Red oak corner Thence N 72 E 5 chains to a stake corner, Thence S 15.8.6.00 chaines to a pine corner Thence S 72 W 5.00 chaines to a Red Oak corner Thence N 18 W 6.00 chaines to the beginning to have & to hold the above described premises. I the Sd Charles G. Moon do bind myself my heirs, Exec & Amins to warrant & defend the titles of said tract of land unto the said James W. Vaughan and Martin White Deacons as aforesaid for the use & benefit of the Said Rehoboth Church so long as there remains a constituted Church on S W. premises provided the church Shall dissolve the premises in that went to revert back to the Sd Charles G. moon.
