Eberhart State of Georgia, Elbert County: This Indenture made this fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two between John N. Moore of the one part and James G. Eberhart of the other all of the county of Elbert and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said John N Moore for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty one hundred dollars to him in hand paid to the said John N. Moore by the said James G. Eberhart at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof he hath hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold delivered and confirmed unto the said James G. Eberhart his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid County containing four hundred acres more or less, bounded Southwardly by Broad River, beginning at a Sassafras x on Broad River, thence N 38 E 70 chains to a Post Oak x corner thence South 62 E to the Road then down the meanders of the road on William Oglesbys line __(?) chains to a Hickory corner on the road where the old line crosses, thence S 26 W __(?) a straight line to the River where Blacks (?) Tract joins the River, thence up the meanders of the River to the beginning Sassafras Corner. To have and to hold unto the said James C. Eberhart his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, and the said John N. Moore for himself his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title to the aforesaid tract of land and premises and every part thereof from all persons claiming with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances.thereunto belonging unto the said James C. Eberhart his heirs and assigns In witness whereof the said John N.
