For and in consideration of the sum of $1500 dollars, sell and convey all that parcel of land lying on Big Cold Water Creek containing 282 acres, bounded on William Ward and Cold Water Creek, thence on the dividing line on John Wanslow, thence to the dividing line on William Roebuck, is more fully represented by the plat. Recorded February 7, 1859 [with plat] 89/5 Elbert County Deed Book CC: 249 [Note. Ward’s Mill on plat] 1858, December 17—This Indenture made between William T. Thornton unto James H. Alexander, both of Elbert County. For and in consideration of the sum of $2250 dollars, granted & sold that parcel of land lying on Big Cold Water Creek containing 412 acres adjoining lands of William J. Harper, Martha D. Roebuck and Horatio J. Goff & others as the plat will show as surveyed by Robert P.
