All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Transcribed by Chandler Eavenson 16 April 2006 Deed Moses Mills to John Adams The following deed appears in Elbert Co., GA Deed Book V, page 20: "This indenture made the twenty fifth of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty six between Moses Mills of the one part and John Adams of the other part both of the county of Elbert and State of Georgia Witnesseth that the above named Moses Mills hath for in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to me the said Mills in hand by the above named John Adams the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and delivered and by these presents doth bargain sell and deliver and forever confirm unto the said John Adams his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county aforesaid containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less lying and being on the waters of Cold Water Branch known by the name of the Big Branch bounded as follows (to wit) beginning at a post oak on Richard C. Adams line bounded by the main road leading from McDonnalds Ferry to Elberton down to the first Branch thence down the said Branch to the Big Branch thence running up the Big Branch to the said Road then down the road to the said Mills line to a corner pine thence running on the boundry lines between said Mills, Thomas Tenis, Jesse Smith, Jordan Nellums and Richard C.
