Witnesseth, that the said Thomas Oglesby for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, and released unto the said William Oglesby, his heirs or assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Elbert on Doves Creek containing two hundred and fifty acres, a part of which has before been deeded the said William, enclosed in the following lines and boundaries. That is, beginning at a pine corner, running thence South 60 west, 55 chains, 60 links to a hickory corner; thence, North 50 west, 45 chains to a red oak corner; thence, North 60 East, 55 chains and 60 links to a red oak corner; thence, South 30 East, 45 chains to the beginning. Bounded Southeast by Dred Wilder’s land, Southwardly by Seth Deadwyler’s land, Northwest by White’s land. And do, by these presents, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm the aforesaid land and premises together with all and singular the rights, members, interest, claim, and title to him the said William Oglesby, his heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns. And, the said Thomas Oglesby doth, by these presents, warrant and defend the rights of the aforesaid land and appurtenances as aforesaid to the said William Oglesby or his heirs and against himself, his heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, and all and every other person or persons whatsoever to his only proper use and behoof of the said William Oglesby, his heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, in fee simple.
