Booth Georgia, Elbert County: This Indenture made this the twenty third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty between William Penn of the one part of Chatooga of said State and Andrew W. Booth of the other part of the said county of Elbert and State aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said William Penn for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and released unto the said Andrew W. Booth his heirs or assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Elbert on the waters of Deep Creek adjoining Deadwylers land on the South East Joseph Pulliam Vaughan and Brawner on the South west M Burden and J. Deckinson land on the North and northeast containing five hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less. I the said William Penn doth warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of land from himself his heirs and assigns and from all and every other person of persons unto him the said Andrew W. Booth shall have peaceable possession of the same without any molestation whatever in fee simple.....In witness whereof I the said William Penn hath herewith set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written.
