James A. Stone to Thomas C. Burch

Georgia, Elbert County: 
This Indenture made this seventeenth day of August eighteen hundred 
and fifty three between James A. Stone of the State and county aforesaid 
of the one part and Thomas C. Burch of the same place of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said James A. Stone for and in consideration of the 
sum of two hundred and eighty five Dollars to him in hand paid the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained sold and 
conveyed unto the said Thomas C. Burch his heirs and assigns the Stone 
house and Lot occupied at present by the said Burch, said Lot bounded 
South by Richard C. Adams, west (?) by Joseph Rucker, North by James 
Lofton, East by main Street containing one Acre more or less To have 
and to hold said House and lot unto him the said Thomas C. Burch
his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use, benefit and 
behoof forever in fee simple. And the said James A. Stone for himself 
his heirs Executors & Administrators will forever warrant the said 
bargained premises unto the said Thomas C. Burch his heirs and assigns 
against the claims of themselves and all other persons whatever.. In 
witness whereof the said James A. Stone has hereunto set his hand and 
seal the day and year above written
