"This indenture made this second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one between Eudosius Thornton of the one part and Henry Bramblet of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Thornton for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Bramblet the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold, and by these presents, doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Bramblet, all that tract or parcell of land lying and being in the county on waters of Beaverdam Creek, containing one hundred and twenty two acres more or less, being and bounding as follows, to wit, by John Fords land, Col. Appling's land, Benjamin Fannings land, by Benjamin Fortson's land and by a ridge path usually known by the name of Carter's old path To have and hold the aforesaid tract of ____ and ____. Together with all the rights, ____, issues, profits and appurtances of, in, or thereunto belonging' And the said Eudosius Thornton for himself his heirs. The aforesaid tract of land and premises in fee simple, unto the said Henry Bramblet Shall and will warrant and forever defend again the claim or claims of all and every person and persons whatsoever.Given under my hand and seal the day and year as above.
