This indenture made this twelth day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety five between Martin Turman and Nancy his wife of Elbert County of the one part and George Turman son of Thomas Turman of said county of the other part Witnesseth that the said Martin Turman and Nancy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds lawful money to them in hand paid by him the said George Turman son of Thos. Turman at and for the delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these prsents do grant bargain sell ____ and confirm unto the said George Turman son of Thos. Turman his heirs or assigns all that tract of land situate lying and being in the said county of Elbert on waters Coodies Creek containing two hundred and thirty two acres beginning at an oak corner thence north east to corner pine south easterly to corner pine thence to corner post oak thence north east to corner red oak thence south east to corner pine thence north east to corner pine thence south to corner post oak thence to the beginning corner as doth appear by a plat of the same together with all and singular the right title members and appertinances thereof whatsoever to the land belonging or in any wise apportaining to have and to hold the said tract of land with singular the premises and appertenances thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said George Turman son of Thos. Turman his heirs and assigns in fee simple and the said Martin Turman and Nancy his wife and their heirs and assigns do warrant and forever defend the land from all ot her persons whatsoever In witness wereof the said Martin Turman and Nancy his wife hth hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
