For and in consideration of the sum of $250 Dollars, conveyed one certain tract of land lying on the waters of Cold Water Creek containing 114 ½ acres, part of the tract originally granted to Middleton Woods and others. Beginning at the S____, thence S55W14 & 35 links to a Red Oak corner, thence S71W10 & 34 links to a Post Oak, thence N26E17 & 53 links to a Red Oak, thence N51W13 & 10 links to an Ash, thence N69E15 & 22 links to a White Oak, thence N71E9 & 13 links to a Pine, thence N39E 2 chains, thence to a Red Oak sapling, thence S74E 14 chains to a Pine on John Wanslaws line, thence S18N 29 chains & 86 links to a Post Oak corner, thence S5W 8 chains to a Spanish Oak, thence to the beginning corner. Recorded the 28th day of March 1836 89/3 Elbert County Deed Book X: 58 Cold Water Creek – Wards Mill 1834, December 22—This Indenture made between Mary Hudson unto John Maley, both of Elbert County. For and in consideration of the sum of $422.25 Dollars conveyed all that tract of land lying on Cold Water Creek as is now fully represented by the plat, containing 168 9/10 acres.
