Dewy Rose, Elbert Co., GA, Aug the 9th, 1891

We the Singing Society of Dewy Rose to the Elbert County Singing Convention,
Greeting: We send you messengers to wit: W. C. Christian, J. N. Adams, R. T.
Cartledge, Miss Hattie Crook, Liles Bell and Ararinthy Hall. We were
organized last October 1890. We meet regular once a month and I think we
have advanced considerably in song, but what are we doing in Church Music.We
hope your body will take some steps to build up Church Music in our midts.
Therefore we recomend that your body urge upon the singing people of Elbert
Co. the necessity of Church Music. God Bless your efforts in that direction.
