Dewy Rose, Elbert Co., GA, Aug the 9th, 1891 We the Singing Society of Dewy Rose to the Elbert County Singing Convention, Greeting: We send you messengers to wit: W. C. Christian, J. N. Adams, R. T. Cartledge, Miss Hattie Crook, Liles Bell and Ararinthy Hall. We were organized last October 1890. We meet regular once a month and I think we have advanced considerably in song, but what are we doing in Church Music.We hope your body will take some steps to build up Church Music in our midts.
