Military - World War II - Howell Gaines Adams 


Howell Gaines Adams was born 10 Jun 1916 in Elbert Co., GA, the 
son of Howell Parker Adams and Hope Gaines. He married in Elbert 
Co. on 6 Mar 1942 to Melba Laura Ward. He entered the United 
States Army on 21 Mar 1942 and was assigned Serial Number 
34265785. He was killed in action during the period following 
the invasion of Attu Island, Aleutians on 11 May 1943. He is 
buried in the Little Falls cemetery on Attu Island as "Howell
Adams, Elberton, GA."
