ELBERTON VETERAN DIES SUDDENLY
W.T. Smith fell dead just as he was about to retire

Elberton, Ga.,  February  20. -- (Special)

W. T. Smith, 60 years old, died suddenly at his home
last night. He was just retiring when he fell over dead.
He leaves a wife and several children.

Mr Smith was a veteran of the civil war, and wore with
pride a confederate veteran's badge of honor. He was
engaged in handling the daily papers in Elberton at the
time of his death.
