B. Oliver entertained in honor of the guest of their son, Mr. Alfred Oliver, Mr. Gage of Atlanta. Quite a large number of friends were present, and among them several visitors. This home is one of the most elegant in the city, and on this occasion was beautiflly arranged. During the evening music, refreshments and other modes of entertainment were indulged, and the evening delightfully spent. Mrs. A. O. Harper's guests, Misses Goss of Athens and Reddy of Richmond were present. The house party at Rose Hill all went over to Seneca on Wednesday, where they will be entertained by Dr. E. M. Corman(?) and his mother. From there they will return to Rose Hill and be given a german, after which the party will disband. This has been one of the most delightful and successful parties ever given in this section. Rose Hill is known far and near for its lavish hospitality. Today the house party of Mrs. & Mrs. A. O. Harper at Dewy Rose, near Elberton, begins. The guests so far are Misses Goss of Athens and Reddy of Richmond; Ella Oliver of Elberton, and Messrs. Ed Schaffer of Toccoa, with several other Elbertonians. Later they will be joined by Miss Marion Lumpkin of Athens, and other young ladies. Miss duBignon of Savannah is expected the latter part of the week. This is another of Elbert County's pretty and hospitable homes, where it is always a pleasure to visit. The hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Harper is really wonderful. The week spent there will be one of delight and fond remembrance. Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Neal have returned from Charleston. Miss Pinkey Broom of Newnan, who has been visiting Mrs. W. C. Smith, has gone to South Carolina. Mrs. M. A. Pharr, Jr., and children of Washington, are the guests of Mrs. R. X. Heard. Miss Ella Oliver will spend next week in Anderson, the guest of Mrs. Charley Sullivan. Miss Reddy of Richmond, and Miss Goss of Athens, are the attractive guests of Hon. and Mrs. A. O. Harper.
