Mr. A. A. Seymour, Bowman, who has served as president of the Elbert County Convention for several years, was nominated and unanimously elected to serve as president for another year. Capt. H. V. Davis of Elberton was unanimously elected vice president for 1932 and Peter V. Rice was elected secretary. The convention decided to hold only one session each year, this session to be a spring session, which, for 1933, will be in the courthouse on the fourth Sunday in June. A large number of visitors coming from South Carolina and counties adjoining Elbert attended the convention. All visiting singers from outside Elbert county were provided with dinner by Elbert county people, including people in the city of Elberton, either on tables in the courthouse yard or in the homes and hotels of Elberton. Singers and song lovers from Augusta, Athens, Toccoa and Atlanta and other points near and far away were among the visitors attending this convention, which was declared to be one of the best Elbert county has ever held.
