Atlanta Constitution, 29 Jul 1921 
D. H. Brown, age 66, of Elberton, Ga. died Wednesday at a private sanitarium. 
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. D. N. Thompson and Miss Ruby 
Brown; one son H. J. Brown, and one brother M. J. Brown, all of Elberton. 

Additional Comments:
Dillard H. Brown was the son of Asa C. Brown and Priscilla E. Thornton, 
daughter of Rev. Benjamin Thornton, Jr. and 1st wife Nancy Payne. Elbert Co. 
marriage records show Dillard H. Brown and Jessie Brawner married on 7 Nov 
1888. The 1900 census of Elbert Co. shows wife Jesse, daughter of Mary 
Brawner, and children Florence and Herman J. The 1910 census shows D. Harold 
Brown with wife Mrs. Annie H. Brown and children Florence E., Herman J., and 
Jessie Berth or Beth Brown. Burial records for Elmhurst cemetery in Elberton 
shows Dillard Herndon Brown, born 16 Mar  1859, died 27 Jul 1921, Jessie 
Brawner Brown (1868-1945) and Florence Brown Thompson (1889-1938), all in same 
plot along with Dillard's brother Mallory Judson Brown(1862-1934).
