Bond http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00016.html#0003902 September 9, 2004, 1:05 am Athens Banner Herald, Friday, July 10, 1992 Brown, Linnie Sue Elbert Co 1992 Linnie Sue Brown Elberton – Linnie Sue Dye Brown, 96 of 246 Heard St., died Thursday, July 9, 1992. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Dora Thomas and Addie Childs Dye. She was the widow of Benjamin Dozier Brown and was preceded in death by a son, Albert Dozier Brown, and two granddaughters. Mrs. Brown was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton for over 60 years, the Stephen Heard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 38 years and was a life member of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of the Elbert County Historical Society and the Town and Country Garden Club. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hicks Funeral Home chapel. The Revs. George Milton Hall and Howard McNamara will officiate. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Ward, Hiram Johnson, Ronnie Brown, Arnett Hill, Max Rucker and Billy Herring. Survivors include two daughters, Julia Brown Hazelwood, Athens, and Hazel Brown Dove, Elberton; two sisters, Reba Dye Franklin and Jewel Dye Eubanks, Elberton; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grand-children. The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Dove, 538 Kathwood Drive, Elberton, and will receive friends at the funeral home from –9 tonight.
