Bell Buried at Elmhurst. "Mrs. Marcus A. Bell, 89 years old, native and lifelong resident of Elbert county, county treasurer of Elbert county for the past four years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Q. R. Thomas, in Bowman, Wednesday morning about 7 o'clock, following an illness of several weeks. "Mrs. Bell was laid to rest in Elmhurst cemetery in Elberton by the side of her late husband whom she succeeded as treasurer. The funeral services were conducted at the home in Bowman by Rev. R. E. Rutland, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by Rev. A. W. Bussey, pastor of the Baptist church. "Mrs. Bell is survived by a son, Gordon Bell of Atlanta, and a daughter, Mrs. Q. R. Thomas of Bowman, and a number of grand children and well as a large family connection throughout this section of the state." [Submitter's notes: Marcus A. Bell and Elizabeth N.
