O. Davenport in Elberton this morning about 7 o'clock. She had been sick about six months. Mrs. Bond was one of the best women of the county, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be buried at Concord church Wednesday morning. She was the mother of J. W. Bond, Mrs. E. O. Davenport, B. R. Bond, B. F. Bond, Jep W. Bond and Jack Bond." [Submitter's notes: Martha Higginbotham Bond was born on 16 Dec 1830 and died on 14 Jan 1913, the daughter of John Satterwhite Higginbotham and his second wife Martha Ricks. Martha married on 1 Dec 1846 in Elbert Co. to Thomas Jefferson Bond (1826-1902), the son of Willis Bond (1804- 1867) and his first wife Leah M.
