CLARK DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS Mr. Ben F. Clark, 54 years old, energetic and successful farmer of Moss district, member of a large and pioneer Elbert County family, died at the Elbert County hospital Sunday morning about 5 o"clock following an illness of about a week. His body was laid to rest at Concord church Monday morning at 11 o"clock, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. J. C. West. Burial was in the church yard, with Elberton Department Store, funeral directors, in charge. "Mr. Clark is survived by eight children - Omer Clark, Newport News, Va., Mrs. Ballinger of Hart county, Mrs. Chester Maxwell of the Silk Mill village, Frances Clark of Greenville, SC, Chandler, Thomas, Sara and Junior Clark of this county."
