Elberton, Ga., October 14- The funeral of Judge Philip W. Davis, who died yesterday morning at his home in Lexington, was held here this afternoon from the First Baptist church. Dr. W. M. Coile, of Winterville, a life-long friend, officiated. The funeral was largely attended, the internment taking place at Elmhurst cemetery. Judge Davis was well known in the state and had achieved a high place among Georgia's noble men. His widow and two children, Phil W. Davis, Jr., of Tulsa, Okla., and Miss Melissa Davis, of Elberton, survive him.
