Atlanta Constitution, 22 Apr 1885 
Death of Mr. Henry R. Deadwyler.  Elberton, Ga., April 21 - Mr. Henry 
Deadwyler, a prominent citizen of the county, died this morning at 6 o'clock, 
of consumption. Mr. Deadwyler has been master of the state grange for a 
considerable time, was a very successful farmer and a useful citizen. He 
leaves a wife and a large family of children to mourn his loss. He was a 
prominent member of the Baptist church at Davis creek, near which place he 
will be buried. 

Additional Comments:
Elbert Co. marriage records show Henry R. Deadwyler and Cornelia A. Willis 
were married on 22 Jan 1861. The cemetery book of the Elbert Co. Historical 
Society shows that Henry R. Deadwyler, born 21 Nov 1838, died 20 Apr 1885, and 
Cornelia Deadwyler, born 22 Sep 1840, died 26 Apr 1922, daughter of James 
Willis, both buried in the Deadwyler cemetery.
