Davis Elberton Star 10 September 1926 ANOTHER OLD SOLDIER JOINS HIS COMRADES Mr. W. P. Davis, Confederate veteran, 88 years old died last wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. D. Harris, near Oglesby. He was buried in Bowman cemetery on Thursday. The funeral services were conducted at the Bowman Baptist church by Revs. A. W. Bussey and E. R. Goss. Mr. Davis is survived by two sons and three daughters, Jim and W. S. Davis, of Texas, Mrs. Asa McCurry, also of Texas and P. D. Harris and A. P. Adams, of Elbert county. ( note-- Mrs. P. D.
