Atlanta Constitution, 26 Mar 1923 
Dr. Luther Pope Eberhardt, a prominent physician of Elberton, Ga., died early 
Sunday morning at a private sanitarium after an illness of several months. He 
is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Roberts Eberhardt; one son, Dr. Jacob 
Pope Eberhardt of Augusta, Ga.; his mother Mrs. J. B. Eberhardt; three 
brothers A. H., L. H. and R. T. Eberhardt; two sisters Mrs. L. D. Mattox, 
Elberton, and Mrs. S. J. Carmichael, Comer, Ga.The remains were taken Sunday 
at noon to Elberton, Ga.for services and interment. Barclay and Brandon Co., 
funeral directors.

Records for Elmhurst cemetery in Elberton show burials of Dr. Luther P. 
Eberhardt, 1868-1923, and Willie Roberts Eberhardt, born 4 Feb 1873, died 1 
Dec 1945.
