CHARLES ERWIN

Charles "Boots" Verdel Erwin, 77, of Elberton died Feb. 6, 2006, at Athens 
Regional Medical Center.

Charles was the son of W.A. "Gip" and Mittie Saxon Erwin. He was a member of 
Falling Creek Baptist Church and worked at Hill Dredging Company as a diesel 
engineer. 

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Rucker Erwin; two sons,Stwart & 
Karen Erwin; Mack & April Erwin a daughter;Christina (Tina)& Connley Veal; two 
brothers; Robert Lewis (RL)Erwin & Helen Erwin,William Howard (Bill)& Thelma 
Erwin; and six grandchildren. Adams,Amanda Erwin; Brodie, Slater Erwin & 
Candice, Connally Veal

Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Andy Peavy and the Rev. Jack McVeigh officiating. Burial was in the church 
cemetery.
