Submitted by Chandler Eavenson, 491 Whippoorwill Ln., Sautee-Nacoochee, GA 30571. Mrs. J. W. Eavenson Buried at Bowman Mrs. J. W. Eavenson, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed ladies of Bowman, died at her home last Saturday morning about 1 o'clock. She was 83 years of age, and is survived by her husband, who is 90 years old, and the following children: Mrs. A. H. Strickland of Bowman; Mrs. W. N. Bailey of Gainesville; Mrs. Alice Hulme of Oklahoma; Mrs. Cleo Roberts, A. Y. and Roscoe Eavenson of Winder; Authur Eavenson of Roswell and Carl Eavenson of Bowman. The funeral services were conducted at the home in Bowman Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. A. W. Bussey, assisted by Rev. W. W. Cash, and the interment was at the Bowman cemetery. The order of Eastern Star of which Mrs. Eavenson was a charter member, laid her body to rest with the honors of the order. Her husband, Capt. John William Eavenson, was a Confederate veteran who served throughout the war.]
