From the condition of her body it is supposed she died in the early prt of the night. Mrs. Gaines had not enjoyed the best of health for some time, but her death was a shock and surprise to all. She was about 55 years old, wife of Mr. F. L. M. Gaines, and a daughter of the late #illiam Thornton. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, all of Elbert county except Mr. L. E. Gaines, who resides in Greenville, SC. The burial was at Concord church Sunday morning." Submitted by: Chandler Eavenson
