Harris Elberton Star 12 April 1946 RITES TODAY AT VANNA FOR P. D. HARRIS P.D. Harris, 76 years old, died at 12:15 a. m. Thursday at his home at Oglesby, following a short illness. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock in Fellowship church, at Vanna, by the Rev. Douglas Gibson, of Royston, and the Rev. J. Seaborn Winn, of Macon, and burial was in the churchyard. T. M. Martin, funeral director, had charge of arrangements. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. W. S. King of Royston; Mrs. C. W. Carithers, of Oglesby; Mrs. Hewell Sanders, of Dewy Rose; Mrs P. J. Rhodes, of Atlanta; Mrs. W. W. Wilkinson, of Birmingham; three sons, H. V. Harris, of Bowman; W. O. and W. C. Harris, of Elbert county; a sister, Mrs. Elbert Hendrix, of Bowman; three brothers, S. H. Harris, of Bowman; H. G. Harris, of Purcell, Okla., Eugene Harris, of Royston; 17 grandchildern and two great grandchildren.
