"Mrs. V. G. Herring died Sunday night at her home in Hart county. She was buried at Holly Springs church Monday afternoon, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Pope Duncan. Mrs. Herring was 72 years old, and a splendid Christian woman. She was born and reared in Elbert county and spent most of her life here. "She is survived by a brother, J. W. Partain, of Gaines District, her husband and the following children: M. H. Herring, W. L. Herring, Mrs. Guy Hulme, Mrs. Gip Colvard, Mrs. Seal Burden." [Submitted by: Chandler Eavenson]
