Obituary
Mrs. Lettie Mewbourn, 12 Jun 1934 

The following obituary appeared in the Elberton Star newspaper
on 12 Jun 1934: 

"Mrs. Lettie Mewbourn, beloved resident of Bowman, 79 years old, 
died early Monday morning at her home following an illness of 
several weeks. Her body was laid to rest in the churchyard at 
Holly Springs this morning at 11 o'clock. The services were 
conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. W. Bussey, and were attended 
by a large concourse of friends. 

"The deceased is survived by a large family of children - Messrs. 
Mack and John A. Mewbourn of California, Keiffer Mewbourn of 
Texas, Asa Mewbourn of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. C. B. Bowen, Mrs.
Ewing Scott, Miss Rosa Mewbourn and Dallas Mewbourn of Elbert 
county."
