Mrs. Mewbourne was for many years a resident of Elberton and leaves a large family connection, as well as many friends throughout this section, who will be pained to learn of her death. The body will be brought back to her old home for burial at Concord church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. R. E. Rutland, pastor of Bowman circuit. "Mrs. Mewbourne is survived by the following children: Mrs. Harold Carithers, Mrs. E. E. Ellis, H. H. Mewbourne, Miss Della Mewbourne of Atlanta; Mrs. L. L. Maxwell, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mack Mewbourne and Miss Curtis Mewbourne of Athens. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Texie Mewbourne, Shreveport, La., Mrs. T. C. Watt, Starr, SC., Mrs. A. J. Brown, Bowman, Mrs. G. M. Pulliam, Mrs. Tarrance Maxwell, Juddye M. Teasley of Elbert county." [Submitted by: Chandler Eavenson]
