Dr. W. O. Young, coroner, ruled that the wound was self-inflicted. He was Austin Patterson, a retired jewelryman and former resident of Georgia. Patterson has lived at Pottsville only a few years and was reported to have been in ill health for some time. He is survived by his widow, two brothers, George P. He was also a veteran of both the first and second World Wars. The body was returned to Elberton, Ga. by the Gardner Funeral Home for funeral services and burial.
