The following obituary appeared in the 6 Apr 1937 
edition of the Elberton Star newspaper: 

"Lester Rousey Died at Carlton Sunday. 

"Lester M. Rousey, 38 years old, native of Elbert Co., 
died Sunday at his home near Davis Mill in Madison Co.
He was buried Monday at Vinyards Creek church in 
Madison Co., with Bowers Furniture Co., funeral directors,
in charge. Rev. Mr. Williams of Comer conducted the 
funeral services. He is survived by his father and 
mother, Woodson A. and Dora Oliver Rousey, and by the
following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Bennie Smith and
Noel Rousey of Oglethorpe Co., John, Seymour and Dewy
Rousey of Athens, James Rousey of Tifton, Sam Rousey
of Rutledge and Cody Rousey of Elbert Coounty."
