The Elberton Star - Tuesday, April 6, 1909
  Last Sunday night Mrs. George W. Snellings was released by death from years of
suffering. She was a good and noble woman and has left a lasting impression for
good upon all within the sphere of her influence. The deceased was about sixty
years of age and leaves a husband and six children, viz: Mrs. George Caldwell,
Mrs. D. Smith, Mrs. Will Downer, of Yazoo, Miss., Mrs. George Dixon, Mr. Oscar
Snellings of Mississippi and Walter Snellings.
  The burial occurred yesterday afternoon at the family graveyard.
