Teasley 



Jeff Oscar Teasley, 84, of Route 1, Dewy Rose, the Coldwater Community, died 
Thursday morning in the Heardmont Health Care Center, after an extended 
illness. 



He was a native and life-long resident of Elbert County, a son of the late 
George T. and Gussie Sanders Teasley.  He was a retired farmer and was a member 
of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. 



Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Gaines Teasley of the home; two 
daughters, Mrs. Sara T. Knight of Bishop and Mrs. Tommie T. Cason of Baton 
Rouge, La; one sister, Mrs. Kate Adams of Elberton; seven grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren. 



Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Coldwater United Methodist 
Church, Rev. Carol Fox and Rev. John “Dusty” Rhodes officiated. Burial was in 
the church cemetery. 



Pallbearers were James Carroll Bond, Gerald Bond, Joel Bond, Ray Williams, 
David Williams, Wilbur Teasley, Steve Adams and Horace Teasley. 



Hicks Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
