L. H. TURNER DIES IN ATLANTA. "Mr. L. H. Turner, 80 years old, native Rockdale county, popular resident and business man of Elberton for more than fifty years, died at the Piedmont Sanitarium in Atlanta Monday morning following an illness of two or three weeks duration. "Mr. Turner was in the general merchandise and hardware business in Elberton for many years. He was an honorary member of the board of stewards of the First Methodist Church at the time of his death. He was formerly superintendent of the Sunday school, ---- and was a lovable citizen who enjoyed the esteem and friendship of hundreds of people in his adopted county and throughout the state. "Mr. Turner married a daughter of the late J. Hop Brewer, one of the leading citizens of the county. She preceded him to the grave about a year ago. "Mr. Turner's body was brought to Elberton last night and carried to his home on Church street where the funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock by his pastor, Rev. John Yarbrough, of the First Methodist church. Interment will follow at Elmhurst cemetery." [Submitter's notes: Luther H. Turner and Mollie L.
