VERONEE ---------- Several Athenians Attended The Funeral at Elberton Sunday ------- The funeral of Mr. C. B. Veronee was conducted in Elberton Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large number of friends. Mr. Veronee, who was 74 years of age, died suddenly Saturday morning about four o’clock, an announcement of his death being made in Sunday’s issue of the Banner. He was survived by a widow and four children Mr. Will Veronee, of Royston, Mrs. Deupree and Mrs. Mathews, of Elberton, and Mrs. T.M. brooks of Atlanta. The funeral of Mr. Veronee was conducted in Elberton at half past three oc’clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Mr. Bigham preached the sermon and the Odd Fellows officiated with the solemn rites of that order. Athens sent over a delegation of Odd fellows, Messrs. C. T.Young, A. B. Harper, J. D. Watson and H..L. Garebold.
