R. WHITE COMES MONDAY -Former Popular Elbert Citizen Dies at Atlanta Hospital - Burial Wednesday at Ruckersville. "Tinsley Rucker White, Confederate veteran, native and long time resident and big planter of Elbert County, died at a private hospital in Atlanta Monday night. His remains will be brought to Elbert County for burial Wednesday. The trip will be made through the country. The exact hour of the burial cannot be stated, but it will be about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. J. H. Mashburn of Elberton will conduct the services. The burial will be at Ruckersville near the old ancestral home. "Mr. White was 87 years old. He was twice married. His first wife was a daughter of the late Dr. Albert C. Mathews. The surviving children of this union are Mrs. Corra Harris, who for a quarter of a century has been one of the most noted writers in America, and Mr. Albert White. His second wife was a daughter of the late James McLanahan. Surviving children of his second marriage are Mrs. Edgerton of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Minnie Porter of Atlanta."
