C. The band is shown with winner of the dancing contest, Carrie Rice, of Central, S. C. (left standing). In the group are standing, left to right, Miss Rice, Rayburn Burton, Hallie Maxwell, Carl Maxwell, Mrs. Ira (Ada) Ayers, and J. C. Eberhardt, President of the Fiddler's Association. Seated, with instruments, Helen Hopkins, O. B. Berien, Hugh Hopkins and Mrs. Glenn (Louise) Ayers. With the group is Ira Ayers, band leader." The contest was held in 1937. Ross Jones
