W. J. Vickery, pioneer Baptist minister of Elbert County, was made the day the youngest son, Fletcher, was buried. Fletcher died at the age of 23 in 1908. In front are Clara and Clarence Vickery, twins. (Clara is now Mrs. A. W. Bussey of Bowman). Second row: A. T. Vickery, Judson H. Vickery (whose daughter, Mrs. Clyde Hewell, lives in Elberton), Naomi Vickery (Mrs. J. F. Seymour who lives with her daughter, Mrs. T. Clyde Brown), Asa Gibson Vickery (the only son who made a preacher and whose widow lives at Bowman and whose children, Mrs. Burnod Butler, Mrs. J. A. Edwards, Jack and Billy Patz Vickery live in Elberton). Third row: Earl S. Vickery, J. Floyd Vickery, Mara Ella Vickery (Mrs. E. F. Cleveland, who lives with her daughters, Mrs. H. H. Stalnaker and Mrs. E. A. Johnson), J. Lester Vickery. Back row: William H. Vickery, Rev. W. J. Vickery and wife (the former Letty Haynes), Tallulah Vickery (Mrs. T. C. Duffell). Of the 13 children, only three are living: Mrs. Cleveland, Mrs. Seymour and Mrs. Bussey. The picture was submitted by Mrs. F. A. Johnson.
