Elbert County, Georgia
Register of Births 1875-1876

In 1875, Georgia mandated Statewide registration of Births, Deaths and
Marriages, but abandoned the act in 1876. Elbert County recorded 20 births
during this period, which are transcribed below from the microfilm at the
Georgia Department of History and Archives in Atlanta. The State began
requiring Birth Registrations again in 1919. Those records are available
through the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Vital Records Department
in Atlanta.
