Elbert Co. marriage records show Mabel Clair Wright and William E. Fortson were
married on 22 Dec 1918. He had previously been married to Hattie Lou Deadwyler
(1876-1916) and was the son of Jeptha Marion Fortson and Lena Thomas Fortson. 
Mabel and her four small children were killed in the same auto-train wreck, 
the children being Hattie Lou, Lena Elizabeth, Beatrice and Earl Wright Fortson.
