17 Dec 1829. New Bethel Meth. Church records show William I. Gaines, born 19 
Dec 1852, died 25 Jun 1921, and buried next to him is Maggie Mauldin Gaines, 
born 20 Mar 1857, died 10 Feb 1917. Also see book "Francis Gaines of Albemarle
Co., VA and Elbert Co., GA" by Dr. Thomas R. Gaines, MD, which shows that the 
Frank Gaines shown on the death certificate as the father of deceased was
Francis Alexander Gaines (1804-1887), married to Didama Hailey (1812-1881), and 
that the full name of the deceased was William Isham Gaines, married to Maggie
Mauldin.
