Additional Comments:
Elbert Co. marriage records show Marion J. Gaines and Mamie Burdett were 
married on 12 Dec 1886. While the death certificate showed a birthyear of 1874, 
that date is inconsistent with a marriage date of 1886 and the correct 
birthyear is believed to be 1853/4, a date consistent with the age of 74 shown 
on the death certificate. The only John Gaines/Adams marriage record located 
was John L. Gaines and Frances P. Adams on 11 Dec 1851 and they are buried at 
Coldwater UMC as John Levingston Gaines (1826-1864), killed in Confederate 
service, and Frances P. Adams Gaines (1831-1912). No burial record was located 
for Marion J. Gaines.
