Elmhurst cemetery records show Ellen Almand Gaines (1847-1925) and Wyley Smith 
Gaines (1848-1933), Confederate Soldier. The Fortson Family History by John W. 
Boyd indicates that Ellen was the daughter of James M. Almond (1806-1883) and 
Amanda N.M.Fortson (1817-1898). Elbert Co. marriage records show that Wyley S. 
Gaines and Ellen E.Almond were married on 16 Jan 1879, and James Almond and 
Amanda N.M.Fortson were married on 20 Oct 1831.
