Elmhurst cemetery records show Nathan M. Mattox (1844-1923), Confederate 
soldier, and Susie Rains Mattox (1869-1926), daughter of Marcus L. and Sally 
Berry Rains, also buried next to them is their son Emory Doc Mattox (1897-
1956), WWI. Elbert Co. marriage records show Nathan Mattox and Lucy Key were 
married on 19 Feb 1826. Susie Raines Mattox' death certificate # 29823 shows 
she was born 21 Jan 1869 and died on 24 May 1926 and that she and her parents 
were born in Oglethorpe Co.,GA.
