Rock Branch Baptist Church cemetery records show Floyd Payton, born 17 May 
1908, died 25 May 1925. Buried next to him is his mother Rebecca Caroline 
Hilley Payton, born 19 May 1878, died 22 Oct 1969. His mother had first been 
married to Hamp Thomas on 9 Feb 1896 in Elbert Co. and had 4 children, then 
married 2nd to William Payton. [See book Hilley Cousins, Vol. 2, page 292] The 
death certificate on Floyd is in the name of Peyton instead of Payton.
